Treasure Island (also known by its hipper initials as "the TI") is
something of a tropical island getaway -- and it's set along a beautiful
manmade cove.
You can celebrate the spirit of the high seas as
well as the legacy of pirates here. The décor is reminiscent of the
lively markets of colonial times. Instead of a snooze on a hammock,
guests rest their weary heads on the resort's exclusive Elite
Sensational pillow-top beds in the 2,885 rooms and suites, all are which
are outfitted with modern-day amenities.
Like the tropics, lazy days at Treasure Island are devoted to sun, swaying palm trees and island foods. Relax on the beach-like pool deck (complete with a 25-person hot tub!) and while away a few hours in Kahunaville Tropical Restaurant.
You can have a bite of something exotic, like the Calypso calamari, or
get an island-infused drink prepared by a flair bartender at the "Party
Bar."
The hub of the activity at the resort occurs near the
entrance from Las Vegas Boulevard, where you will discover several
rollicking bars, restaurants and shops. Things often get wild and crazy
in Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Q.
There are multiple bars within a hangar-like atmosphere. Patrons can
drink, watch bikini bull riding contests, dance and listen to live
bands. The restaurant, which specializes in barbecue cooking, runs along
the front of Treasure Island and sports glass windows looking onto the

Infamous in Mexico for its party scene -- and now at Treasure Island -- is Señor Frog's.

tabletops are highly encouraged...but there's an outside balcony for
those who just want to chill out, too.
The sexiest free show on the Strip takes place nightly in Sirens' Cove. During a live sea battle, the Sirens of TI
sing and dance to lure a bunch of hapless sailors to their untimely
ends -- amid an array of cannon blasts and other pyrotechnic special
effects.
For more traditionally staged entertainment, get tickets to "Mystère"
-- which is anything but traditional. This imaginative production is
packed with over-the-top props and daring feats of human strength and
agility. "Mystère" is the longest running permanent Cirque du Soleil
show in Las Vegas.
Several bars are spread throughout the premises including the upscale Breeze Bar and the outdoor Margarita Bar.
Need a quick bite? everyone -- from jewelry and souvenirs to perfume and apparel. Don't

stores. A pedestrian bridge leading to the Fashion Show
